There seems to be some really powerful and independent DAM / organization options out there but putting them thru their paces without committing is tough, would love to hear from anyone that has tried iMatch, Photo Mechanic, or Photo Supreme.Tamron – Need lightweight, compact mirrorless lenses? Tamron has you covered, with superior optics perfect for any situation. I do wanna move away from using my development / processing program for organization tho, decoupling the two seems like a better long term bet. I don't really need advice with post processing software, it isn't too hard to evaluate with your own eyes and thru trials and whatnot imo. I'm moving away from Adobe because I don't like the LR vs LR Classic dichotomy and the direction they're moving in general. I wanna try out DxO PL mainly for the PRIME noise reduction engine, tho Viewpoint for keystone correction looks interesting. LR does use the embedded CA/vignetting but distortion is more essential and harder to do manually at times.

Most others use a 3rd party open source database of lens corrections (DxO writes their own too).īeyond that, I haven't been using it too long but I like what I've experienced with C1 and I like perpetual licenses. I like that Capture One is able to use the full complement of lens corrections embedded in RAW files without waiting for any updates.ĪFAIK it's the sole development program that's able to do since for some unknown reason Adobe chooses to develop their own distortion corrections for E mount lenses and doesn't give you the option of choosing either/or (embedded vs theirs) like C1. Along with a few specialized tools like Nik, PTGUI, MS ICE, Aurora, etc. I've used or use LR (moving away from it tho), Capture One, Luminar, and Affinity.
